Sony Pictures Consumer Products reveals first ever brand collaborations for The Last of Us

In line with the global trailer release, and ahead of the HBO Original series premiere date on 13 April, Sony Pictures Consumer Products has revealed the first-ever product line-up inspired by the highly anticipated second season of The Last of Us.

The comprehensive collection captures key themes from the storyline, such as love and loss, and incorporates unique products and collaborations that replicate in-world elements and props, such as cordyceps from alice mushrooms and Four Sigmatic, merchandise worn by series favourites from Wrangler, plus forthcoming product from Taylor Guitars and Timberland.

“The Last of Us captivates audiences with its profound storytelling and rich character development, blending emotional depth with a hauntingly immersive world,” commented Jamie Stevens, evp worldwide consumer products at Sony Pictures Entertainment. “Our brand partners were carefully selected given their strong integration to the content and themes of HBO’s uniquely captivating show and were tapped to bring fans even deeper into the storyline with familiar products that blur the line between the real world and the unpredictable world of The Last of Us.”

Wrangler will unveil two capsule collections inspired by the season’s central locations. The first will launch in line with the season premiere on 13 April and will be tied to Jackson, Wyoming – Joel and Ellie’s home base at the start of the season. The second capsule will launch mid-series and will be inspired by the plot and characters based in Seattle, Washington. The collections include rugged men’s and women’s jackets, shirts, jeans, cargos and caps.

Functional coffee brand Four Sigmatic will release the ultimate high-caffeinated coffee infused with cordyceps mushrooms. The Last Of Us Organic Ground High Caf Coffee is made of organic Arabica coffee, cordyceps and lion’s mane mushrooms, Vitamin B12, and coffee bean extract.

In addition, alice mushrooms is incorporating The Last of Us into its bestselling cordyceps-infused Brainstorm chocolate. The co-branded chocolate and limited edition cordyceps ‘infected’ tin will bring the iconic mushrooms from the story’s plotline into a tasty and functional treat.

Taylor Guitars – a brand favourite of Joel – will unveil a new product which ties directly into the show’s plotline shortly after the series premiere. Meanwhile, Timberland is letting fans walk in the shoes of The Last of Us’ characters, launching a themed version of its Original Timberland Boot.

Shop.HBO.com will be the official destination for official consumer products and merchandise inspired by The Last of Us.
