Co-branding deal between character and German football club includes merchandise.
Eight time German football champions, Borussia Dortmund has teamed up with Snoopy and Peanuts Worldwide for a new co-branding deal.
As part of the agreement, Snoopy will join club mascot EMMA the bee by donning a black and yellow jersey.
The character made his first visit to Dortmund at the BVB Family Day on August 4, with the deal having been announced as part of the club’s Asia tour.
Merchandise is also available – sporting the Borussia Dortmund and Peanuts Worldwide co-branding design – from the BVB online shop and fan shops across Germany.
Additional offers for other European countries (Great Britain, France and Poland) and the US are being planned.
Carsten Cramer, BVB’s director of sales and marketing, commented: “Snoopy and his friends are known and loved all over the world. The development of a co-branding design between Borussia Dortmund and Peanuts Worldwide will allow two brands that are extremely popular across all age groups to assist each other.”
