Execs from CPLG, LIMA, WWF and Imperial War Museum speaking at sports merchandising show.
SMMEX International – the sports merchandise and marketing exhibition – is marking its 18th birthday this year with a two-day event at Wembley Stadium on February 15 and 16.
The show has also significantly ramped up its seminar programme, following positive feedback for last year’s line-up.
Organised in conjunction with Brand Licensing Europe and LIMA, the sessions will focus on a range of topics, with speakers from the worlds of football, retail, entertainment, licensing and tourism.
Highlights across the two days will include LIMA UK md Kelvyn Gardner covering the basics of licensing for attendees; Daniel McGeehan from CPLG presenting a case study on the RFU; and Stephane Fillastre from the FIA giving an insight into licensing within motor sport.
In addition, there is a chance for visitors to find out more about museum and heritage brand licensing, with a session featuring Caroline Brown from The British Library, Vivian Nutt from WWF and Anne Buky from Imperial War Museum.
Adam Bass from Golden Goose and Mike Smith from Foundry Brands will be presenting a session entitled Beyond Football: Lifestyle licensing for men, while The FA will be giving an insight into how they source for new merchandise.
