Sir Bradley Wiggins teams with Halfords

New children’s bike range will launch next summer in conjunction with Tour de France winner.

Halfords has teamed with Olympian and Tour de France champion Sir Bradley Wiggins for a new children’s bike range.

The new collection will consist of eight lightweight bikes aimed at the under 16s and will launch in July 2016.

Wiggins has helped to design the range.

He commented: “I wanted to develop a range of bikes for kids of all ages and abilities to jump on and feel like a Tour de France winner. You don’t have to be super fit or kitted out in lycra – these bikes are aimed at everyone, girls and boys, to help more kids get into cycling.”

Halfords also works with fellow Olympians Chris Boardman and Victoria Pendleton on the Boardman Bike brand and an exclusive range of women’s bikes.

In addition, ahead of Christmas, 34 new children’s’ bikes have just hit Halfords shops along with accessories, including more licensed products, such as Disney Frozen helmets and Minions bikes.
