Simon has been publishing director for licensing division for last seven years.
Simon Beecroft is to step down from his role as publishing director for licensing at DK at the end of May.
Simon (pictured) has held the role for the past seven years and he has spent 20 years in total at DK. He has decided that now is the right time for a new challenge.
Simon began his career at DK as a senior editor in the children’s division and was made publisher of licensing in 2009 developing, among other initiatives, the successful LEGO programme.
He was promoted to publishing director in 2012. He has also authored several books for DK including LEGO Star Wars The Visual Dictionary, which was a New York Times bestseller for more than 50 weeks.
“I have had a wonderful time at DK and am immensely proud of what I’ve achieved with the licensing division,” said Simon. “I am excited to be embarking on my next chapter, but first I want to spend time over the summer with my family and friends.”
Rebecca Smart, md publishing at DK, added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Simon for his wonderful contribution as a leader and supportive colleague, as he has been to so many of us here at DK.
“I am sad that I have not worked with him for longer but very grateful to him for his support and tireless work in driving the licensing publishing programme.”
