Toy manufacturer Silverlit has partnered with Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) and 24 Hours of Le Mans, to launch a remote-controlled Hypercar.
The deal was brokered by Le Mans’ exclusive licensing agency, IMG.
Designed in France to celebrate the endurance race’s 100th anniversary this year, the Exost Hypercar features aerodynamic lines, advanced technology and racing wheels that allow fans to make the tyres squeal and vibrate to the rhythm of the car’s engine. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor terrains, the car reaches a top speed of 20km/h with a runtime of 45 minutes.
“The shared values between the ACO and Exost allow us to build a meaningful partnership: a shared passion for automobiles (on different scales), a perpetual search for innovation and a desire to transmit and share between generations,” commented Julie Lieber, marketing director at Silverlit. “This is why we thought it would be relevant to develop an exclusive hypercar model for the ACO, imagined by our designers and completely dedicated to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”
Stéphane Andriolo, customer and events director of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, added: “The 24 Hours of Le Mans is a unique experience, a moment of emotion that is passed on from generation to generation: you have to live it to understand it. This partnership with Silverlit is a concrete expression of our desire to transmit the passion for the automobile to future generations through an ultra-realistic model that will continue to bring this legendary race to life outside the circuit.”
