Silvergate welcomes Lisa Macdonald to team

Former Sanrio exec becomes new vp EMEA for TV and licensing company.

Silvergate Media has strengthened its team, hiring former Sanrio executive Lisa Macdonald as its new vp for EMEA.

Lisa (pictured) will be responsible for driving business in the region including broadcast sales, secondary licensing and brand partnerships. She will work on properties including Octonauts, plus the classic and TV versions of Peter Rabbit.

She joins the company from Sanrio where she handled the growth of the Mr Men brand as vp for some five years.

Prior to that, Lisa held roles at Chorion and Scholastic.

“Lisa’s reputation in the industry is second-to-none, and we’re excited to have one of the most creative, strategic and results-driven people in the industry on board,” commented Ron Allen, svp commercial at Silvergate Media.
