Silent Pool Distillery gets on board with Pan Am

Pink Key Licensing has secured a new partnership between Pan American World Airways and Silent Pool Distillery.

The new deal will see Pan Am-branded craft gin, vodka and pre-mixed cocktails created in the spirit of the brand’s dedication to quality, style, service and innovation since 1927.

The products launched in Cannes at the TFWA Duty Free Summit (24-28 October).

Distribution throughout in Europe, US and Japan will begin in Q1 2022, ready for the travel season.

“We are so pleased to have secured this partnership,” commented Richard Pink, md of Pink Key Licensing. “We’ve long thought that the Pan Am brand and its association with the glamour of a by-gone age deserves to have product that reflects this.

“It’s got that Mad Men feel of ‘cocktails on a plane’ about it, and in Silent Pool Distillery we’ve found a partner who really understand what we are trying to achieve. We are very excited and can’t wait to do the sampling.”

Ian McCulloch, md and founder of Silent Pool Distillery, added: “We are incredibly excited to be able to bring this brand to market in a whole new way. With travel starting to resume and consumers forming much more romantic and nostalgic connections with their favourite destinations, there’s no better time to connect them to a bygone era in a contemporary way.

“We believe that the Spirit of Pan Am will garner particular attention in key US airports, as well as important European and Asian hubs.”

Stacy Beck, vp brands and licensing at Pan American World Airways, continued: “We are excited to work together with the Silent Pool Distillery team. Their success and creativity in the market makes them an ideal partner to further the brand experience for Pan Am.”
