New themed family attraction launching at Paradise Country in Australia.
Shaun the Sheep is heading to Australia, with Aardman confirming that a new family attraction will open at Paradise Country on the Gold Coast, in partnership with Village Roadshow Theme Parks.
Launching in December, the attraction will include specially created sculptures and interactive attractions such as Shaun’s Tractor Ride, Shaun’s Adventure Camp, The Pig’s Playground and Shaun’s Scraps & Taps.
There will also be a live show – Shaun’s Aussie Adventures – which will take place twice daily and a themed retail outlet, Mossy Bottom Memories.
The deal was secured by Merchantwise Licensing.
“As Australia’s number one farm-based attraction, Paradise Country is the perfect home for Shaun the Sheep’s next attraction adventure,” said Ngaio Harding-Hill, senior manager attractions and live experiences at Aardman. “The new experience captures all the fun and frolics of the show in a real life adventure fans will adore.”
Shane Phillips, Paradise Country general manager, added: “Shaun the Sheep is such an iconic and well-known character with families and we are excited to welcome him and his flock to Paradise Country.”
In Australia, Shaun the Sheep and its related preschool series, Timmy Time have long been mainstays on ABC TV and iView digital platforms, attracting more than 130,000 daily viewers.
2019 will also see the theatrical release of the much anticipated sequel Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon in cinemas across Australia.
