Nelvana is teaming up with Peace Collective and Major League Soccer to bring Sesame Street characters to the pitch in the US and Canada this month.
The new collection of apparel features Sesame Street characters including Cookie Monster, Elmo, Big Bird, Bert, Ernie and Oscar the Grouch alongside fan-favourite MLS teams.
Items include t-shirts, sweaters and jackets which aim to celebrate the joy of the game.
“We’ve seen incredible success in Sesame Street’s long-standing partnership with Peace Collective, and Nelvana is proud to bring this collaboration with Major League Soccer to life,” commented Carly Slack, director of global licensing, retail and marketing at Nelvana. “This collection delivers playful, standout designs that will resonate with kids and adults alike, giving soccer families a fun new way to celebrate their favourite teams – both on and off the field.”
The collection marks Peace Collective’s first ever collaboration with MLS, and clubs featured include Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, LA Galaxy, Inter Miami CF, Seattle Sounders FC, LAFC, Sporting Kansas City, New England Revolution, Columbus Crew, Austin FC, New York City FC and the New York Red Bulls.
