Fragranced personal care specialist, Scent Theory has teamed up with Crayola for a colourful new line of hand soaps.
The collaboration – Crayola Scent of Colour – is a ‘rainbow’ of seven hand soaps, aiming to embody Scent Theory’s tagline of ‘take a moment to get away’.
Based on consumer insights, certain colours have been identified to correspond with specific aromas.
These include:
- Sunset Orange – sun-kissed oranges and golden vanilla
- Cherry Red – ripe cherries and tonka bean
- Purple Heart – purple plums and candied violets
- Caribbean Green – palm leaf and beach wood
- Cerulean Blue – ocean air and blue skies
- Laser Lemon – lemonade and sunshine
- Carnation Pink – fresh flowers and sweet berries
“At Scent Theory, our mission is to create transportive everyday moments,” commented Amy Alperin, head of product development at Scent Theory. “We’re thrilled about this collaboration with Crayola, a brand synonymous with creativity and colour. We know that people often associate fragrance with colour, so through our scented hand soaps consumers can embark on a colourful journey and experience the world around them in vibrant scented hues.”
Warren Schorr, svp business development, global licensing and experiences at Crayola, continued: “We all typically think of colour as a visual experience, however our collaboration with Scent Theory takes that sensory connection to another creative dimension so consumers can experience smelling in colour for an everyday task.”
