Strong turnout as outlet opens for business in Bath’s Milsom Street.
Santoro’s first retail outlet has opened its doors, receiving a rapturous reception from fans of the brand.
The store is located on Milsom Street in Bath, and was first reported by The Source in October.
Officially opened by Santoro’s founder Meera Santoro, torrential wind and rain didn’t stop a long queue from forming outside.
The first official purchase was made by lifelong Santoro fan, Ettie Spence.
Ettie said: “I couldn’t believe the length of the queue when I arrived. I really wanted to make the very first purchase, and I had to join the queue so far down Milsom Street I was worried they would sell out of everything before I even got in the shop.
“In fact, I’m such a huge fan that I also dropped off my CV and have applied to work here.”
Guests were offered Prosecco and Italian chocolates while they shopped, and staff were busy ringing up sales all day.
Meera commented: “What a fabulous day. The response to our shop has been amazing and it feels like the Santoro family has grown even more with our new home in Bath. One fan told me that she’s been waiting for this shop forever.”
