Company planning retail expansion as first shop planned for Bath.
Santoro is to shortly open its first retail outlet, and has ambitious plans for a raft of further stores.
The store is on Milsom Street in Bath and closely resembles a high-end boutique.
The company initially dipped its toes into the retail space with a Gorjuss pop up in Harrods a couple of years ago.
Meera Santoro, co-founder, told The Source there are now plans to open further outlets across the Middle East in the next year or so with a third party, while she would also like to open a store in London.
“The final clincher to open a store was when a father and daughter travelled from Sweden, knocked on our office door and asked where our shop was,” Meera said.
Alongside the retail plans, the company is ramping up its licensing activity, looking to expand on its existing programme. It is seeking licensees for categories including bedding, apparel and toys.
