First papercraft items for the property launch from Craft Consortium.
Santoro’s Kori Kumi brand has been strengthened with the release of the first papercraft items from Craft Consortium.
The exclusive launch of the collection was previewed on TV shopping channel Hochanda on August 19. Four shows the following day saw two leading presenters demonstrate the products.
Nigel Lennon, Craft Consortium’s creative director, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the result of the first set of shows, with nearly a 90% sell out on all allocated stock over the two day period.”
To coincide with the launch, Craft Consortium also ran several competitions to win Kori Kumi products, reporting a strong reaction with the competition reaching over 14,000 users.
Santoro is hoping the good early feedback will continue through sales as product is rolled out to the high street from the end of August in the UK, the first week of September in Europe, and the following week in the US.
Another Kori Kumi TV show is scheduled for September. Further expansions to the Kori Kumi crafting range are well into development, including a new collection of quilting fabrics from Cranston, USA, which is planned for an autumn/winter launch worldwide.
