Exclusive egg-themed pop-up menu to launch in London, Manchester and Oxford outlets.
Sanrio’s Gudetama character is returning to Hakata ramen noodle specialist Shoryu Ramen this autumn.
An exclusive autumnal egg-themed pop-up menu will be available for two weeks in the new London Oxford Street outlet, plus the Manchester and Oxford branches.
Available from October 1-14, the menu will include the likes of ramen topped with a Gudetama-themed authentic nitamego egg, as well as a touch of decoration across all menu items.
For those who wish to take Gudetama home with them, there will be a range of limited edition merchandise for guests to purchase in-store at Japan Centre Panton Street & Japan Centre Piccadilly Circus, as well as Ichiba in Westfield London and online at japancentre.com.
Items include a Gudetama tote bag, A5 notepad, metal keyring and premium mugs.
A special competition will also run on Shoryu’s Instagram, where guests will be invited to take a selfie with Gudetama and post with the hashtag #shoryugudetama, with the winner receiving a limited edition Gudetama egg suitcase.
“After a hugely successful Gudetama pop-up at Shoryu over Easter this year, Sanrio are pleased to renew and extend the pop-up menu to three locations across the UK,” said Hannah Rowlands, marketing and digital manager at Sanrio. “Space licensing is important to Sanrio, so we are delighted that even more fans can enjoy this special autumn Gudetama themed menu in a selection of Shoryu’s bigger restaurants.”
