Sanrio and Hello Kitty pledge support to Téléthon 2024

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Hello Kitty recently partnered with the Téléthon 2024 to help fund research on rare diseases.

Hello Kitty was a featured guest on the Téléthon TV show, which aired live on France Télévisions on 29-30 November.

During the show, Hello Kitty appeared alongside other notable guests including singer Mika, the official patron of this year’s Téléthon, and the Téléthon Gaming e-sports teams, such as Solary.

To maximise fundraising efforts, Sanrio and its partners introduced a number of charitable initiatives to engage fans and supporters.

These included the Great Téléthon Raffle with prizes including Candy Kitten, a one-of-a-kind resin sculpture created in collaboration with French artist Jo Di Bona and the Leblon Delienne workshop to mark Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary; Hello Kitty x Solary Esports merchandise, with fans about to purchase a limited edition t-shirt featuring the character in a gaming design; plus Hello Kitty plush toys, with portion of the sales from each plush will be donated to the AFM-Téléthon.
