Sambro picks up Masha and the Bear

Licensee on board for categories including stationery, arts & crafts and bags.

Lisle International Licensing has added Sambro to the UK licensing programme for Masha and the Bear.

The company will create product across a number of categories including arts and crafts, stationery and bags.

Sambro joins partners including Simba, Egmont, Clementoni, TV Mania, PMS International and Procos in the licensing roster for the UK.

Lisle handles Masha and the Bear in the territory, while Ink Global looks after the property globally in the broadcasting and licensing spaces.

Nikki Samuels, licensing director at Sambro, said: ”We are delighted to be working alongside Lisle international Licensing to create a Masha and the Bear range across multiple categories, including arts and crafts, bags and stationery.

“We love the brand and its roots in traditional storytelling, which are given a completely modern take. Its success across the world is testament to the characters’ popularity and our designers will bring them to life with a collection of unique and innovative products.”

Masha and the Bear airs daily on Cartoonito and is the channel’s second best rated programme (behind Fireman Sam). It has also recorded just shy of 300 million views on YouTube in the UK alone.
