Sainsbury’s reveals Roald Dahl Christmas gifting

Licensees including BB Designs, Creative Tops, Bloom & Blossom involved in promotion.

The Roald Dahl Story Company has joined forces with Sainsbury’s on a special Christmas gifting initiative.

A variety of ranges from licensees BB Designs, Creative Tops and Bloom & Bloom are included in the promotion which is in stores now.

Since first launching in early 2018, the Roald Dahl Bloom & Blossom children’s toiletries range has proved to be popular at retail and is going from strength to strength, with the addition of a Matilda range this quarter in multiple high street retailers.

Sainsbury’s Bloom and Blossom range launched in the health and beauty aisle in November and features six The BFG skus including the hero ‘Bath, Book and Bedtime’ Gift Set featuring an exclusive edition of The BFG book.

BB Designs has released an exclusive range in the seasonal gifting aisle which includes stationery, home and jewellery. All 11 gifting lines retail at £10 or under, making them good stocking fillers for fans of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, and Matilda.

Finally, Creative Tops has produced two exclusive bone china mugs featuring The BFG and Matilda, sitting in the home aisle. All products feature illustrations by Sir Quentin Blake.

“We already have a great partnership with Sainsbury’s across multiple categories and are delighted that a number of our products will also feature across stores this Christmas,” said Stephanie Griggs, licensing and design director at The Roald Dahl Story Company. “The popularity of Roald Dahl’s beloved stories continues to grow cross-generationally, and we’re confident that the variety of gifting options on offer caters for (almost) everyone.”
