Rubber Road has added Five Nights at Freddy’s to its portfolio, in a deal brokered by Striker Entertainment.
The agreement sees the company’s design arm, Numskull Designs, creating a range of merch, celebrating the popular survival horror game, which will be out later this year.
“Five Nights at Freddy’s is a great coup for us taking us to a more contemporary audience which is one of our key objectives for 2024,” commented Liam Taylor, head of partnerships and development at Rubber Road. “We enjoy enormous success with a whole host of nostalgia brands such as Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future and Jaws and we want to broaden appeal of our merch with franchises that have built huge followings in more recent times. Five Nights at Freddy’s and our recent Minecraft signing do just that; we have got 2024 off to a flying start.”
Russell Binder at Striker Entertainment continued: “Celebrating its 10th year anniversary this year, Five Nights at Freddy’s is experiencing significant global traction. We are excited to introduce the IP to a popular collector category in Europe, while simultaneously helping further expand a stylised category of collector products to domestic fans of our client Scottgames’ media franchise.”
