Roy Lowe sees surge in demand for family socks ahead of Father’s Day

Matching family socks include Peppa Pig, Hey Duggee, Bing, Mr Men and Baby Shark.

Roy Lowe has reported a surge in demand for its matching family socks ahead of Father’s Day.

With online being the only option for a lot of non-essential shopping, the licensee’s website has seen a strong uptick in sales, with some packs selling out a year’s supply of stock in just three weeks.

The matching family socks include popular brands such as Peppa Pig, Hey Duggee, Bing, Mr Men and Baby Shark, with families able to build their own unique gift box, with a pair of socks for everyone in the family.

“It has been all (socially distanced) hands on deck this week at Roy Lowe, in a huge effort to keep up with packing the family packs ready for Father’s Day,” commented the company’s Hannah Lowe. “The concept really seems to resonate with people, and it is a great way for a whole family to connect with their favourite brands.

“Currently being on furlough, the bald one is sending encouragement from his sofa.”

Ben Lowe added: “After a tough few months of lockdown, it has been great to see the demand for licensed gifts is still there for Father’s Day. I think the current global situation has accelerated everyone’s online and digital strategies, as the retail landscape takes a huge shift.

“What this landscape will look like in 2021 is the biggest question on everyone’s minds. It has been great to see support from a lot of licensors over this period, and I think remaining as agile as possible will be key to getting back on track through the tough times that lie ahead.”
