Rockpool Licensing welcomes Becca’s Bunch

Agency to represent preschool brand in the UK and Ireland following appointment by JAM Media.

Rockpool Licensing has added to its portfolio, being appointed by JAM Media to represent the company’s preschool brand, Becca’s Bunch.

The show – which has proved to be a consistent ratings winner on Nick Jr. since it was first broadcast last summer – follows the adventures of a little bobble hat wearing bird named Becca and her friends in Wagtail Woods.

Their exploits encourage children to think big, be adventurous and never give up.

JAM has confirmed the show is due to launch on Milkshake in Q4 2019, while JAKKS Pacific is on board as master toy partner, with product hitting shelves in A/W 2019.

In addition, master publishers Egmont (worldwide, excluding North America) and Candlewick Press (North America) have titles in development for a spring 2020 arrival.

Rockpool will now be looking to build up the programme in key categories including apparel, bedding, homewares, stationery, greetings and gifting.

“I fell in love with Becca and her quirky group of friends as soon as I saw them,” said Vickie O’Malley, md of Rockpool Licensing. “With great series awareness already, I’m delighted to be working on the brand in this next phase of its development and am looking forward to securing new licensing partners who can share in Becca’s quest to have the ‘best day ever’!”

John Reynolds, cco at JAM Media, added: “Vickie’s fantastic credentials and enthusiasm for the show meant that Rockpool were an easy choice to appoint as our representative for Becca in the UK.

“It’s an exciting time for the show and am sure we can achieve great things together.”
