Roald Dahl launches new line of baby books

Penguin Random House Children’s readies new preschool-focused collection.

Titchy toddlers will be able to enjoy some of Roald Dahl’s most popular and enduring stories for the first time ever this summer, as Penguin Random House Children’s prepares to launch a new preschool-focused collection.

Launching this June, the Roald Dahl books for babies and toddlers have been adapted for the age-group – allowing grown-ups to introduce their little ones to the world’s number one storyteller as early as possible.

The first two board books in the new series – Roald Dahl’s 1 2 3 and Roald Dahl’s Opposites – will be launched on June 14, just in time for Father’s Day.

The two lift-the-flap books also feature popular Dahl characters such as The Enormous Crocodile, as well as a cast of curious creatures illustrated by the inimitable Quentin Blake.

“These bright and sturdy board books retain all of their original Dahl peril and humour,” said Lucy Mann, head of publicity at Penguin Random House Children’s.
