Riki Group welcomes new Chinese licensing agent

Promotional Partners Worldwide to handle licensing for the company’s property, The Fixies.

Riki Group has appointed Promotional Partners Worldwide to act as the licensing and promotional agent for its brand, The Fixies in China.

PPW will aim to support The Fixies’ development in the territory, further expanding awareness with the launch of a wide ranging licensing programme.

Products will feature in categories including publishing, crafts, apparel, cosmetics and food. In addition, there will also be a focus on scientific experiment sets, highlighting a key part of the series.

A fourth series of The Fixies is currently being produced in co-production with Tencent Video. The series has reached 13 billion views on Chinese platforms to date.

In addition, Tencent has commissioned Hebei TV to create a new sci-fi game show for kids, called Fixie Lab.

“We believe that working closely with PPW gives us a great opportunity to create locally relevant products, style guides and make sure that our storytelling is converted to the right licensing programme and commercial success for licensees,” said Maya Moskvicheva, ceo of Marmelad Media, Riki Group’s licensing agency. “Due to PPW’s knowledge and experience in the market, we will be able to give our partners better creative solutions. The educational nature of the Fixies fits perfectly to market trends.”
