Richard E. Grant to host the B&LLAs 2018

Actor, screenwriter and director to take the helm of event on Thursday April 26.

Actor, screenwriter and director Richard E. Grant is to host this year’s Brand and Lifestyle Licensing Awards.

Richard (pictured) will take the helm for the popular event’s third year. The B&LLAs 2018 takes place on Thursday, April 26 at The Dorchester.

Richard rose to fame starring as Withnail in the cult 1987 film Withnail and I. Since then, he has appeared in over 40 films including The Iron Lady, How to Get Ahead in Advertising, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Jack & Sara, L.A. Story and Tim Burton’s animated fantasy Corpse Bride.

In 2005, he wrote and directed comedy-drama Wah Wah which starred British actresses Julie Walters and Celie Imrie.

On TV, Richard has starred in Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey and Doctor Who, while he also presented two series of luxury travelogue series Hotel Secrets where he traveled the globe in search of the world’s most glamorous and infamous hotels.

As an author, Richard has told the stories of his film career in With Nails: The Film Diaries of Richard E. Grant, By Design: A Hollywood Novel, and The Wah-Wah Diaries: The Making of a Film.

He also ventured into perfumery in 2014 releasing unisex fragrance ‘Jack’ for London department store Liberty.
