RHS licensee Gold Leaf backs virtual Chelsea Flower Show

Daily photographic competition for week-long online celebration of flowers and gardening.

RHS licensee, Gold Leaf is celebrating the fact that this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show has gone online by launching a special photographic competition, encouraging people to share their ‘Chelsea Memories’.

Gold Leaf is asking loyal visitors to past shows to submit their images for a different category on each day of the virtual RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which takes place from May 19-23. The top three favourite daily entries will receive a pair of Gold Leaf’s unique gardening gloves, with a different style on offer each day.

The categories are: Show Gardens (Tuesday), The Great Pavilion (Wednesday), Famous Facts (Thursday), Retail Therapy (Friday), and Favourite Chelsea Moment (Saturday). Gold Leaf will also highlight the show and the competition via its social media platforms.

“As committed supporters of the RHS and its aim to enrich everyone’s life through plants, we are sad not to be meeting the many attendees at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year but delighted that we can still make a difference by supporting this wonderful online event,” said Peter Cooney, owner and md of Jayco (which owns the Gold Leaf brand).

Cathy Snow, licensing manager at the RHS, added: “The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is both a major event for gardeners and a marvellous venue for our licensees to display their RHS-endorsed products.

“While this year has seen the show go online, we’re thrilled that Gold Leaf has entered into the spirit of the event with this wonderful competition, which I am sure will amuse and delight in equal measure.”
