Retailers back Team GB as Rio 2016 begins

Aldi, George @ Asda, Sainsbury’s among retailers stocking Team GB lines.

The Rio 2016 Olympic Games officially kicks off today (Friday August 5) and a range of retailers are getting behind Team GB with a variety of product on offer.

George @ Asda has a collection of official Team GB hoodies, polo shirts and t-shirts, while Sainsbury’s is also offering a select line of tees online.

Meanwhile, Aldi is the official supermarket sponsor of Team GB. It has six Team GB ambassadors – artist gymnast Daniel Purvis, BMX champion Liam Phillips, pentathlete Samantha Murray, diver Jack Laugher, Taekwondo champion Jade Jones and Olympic boxing champion Nicola Adams.

Branded Team GB products available online and in-store range from wetsuits and cycling gloves and jackets, through to the Team GB lion mascot, branded footballs and t-shirts among others.
