Collaboration inspired by character is celebration of Friends’ 25th anniversary.
Ralph Lauren has launched a new capsule collaboration, inspired by Friends’ character Rachel Green.
The range is part of the celebrations around the 25th anniversary of the show’s debut on NBC in the US, reported Fashion United.
Jennifer Aniston’s character worked in the merchandising department of Ralph Lauren during seasons five to ten, with the designer also making a cameo in an episode.
Rachel became something of a style icon in the 1990s – with ‘The Rachel’ one of the most asked for haircuts of the decade – with magazines today continuing to highlight her wardrobe choices.
The Ralph Lauren x Rachel Green collection includes pieces from both the Polo and LAUREN Ralph Lauren lines. Dresses, jackets, skirts, trousers and shoes – with the character’s ‘polished yet relaxed’ aesthetic are featured, while Ralph Lauren recreated iconic Friends sets for its promotional campaign.
