Rainbow Designs ready to mark major milestones with new launches

Rainbow Designs is heading into trade fair season with a host of new offerings across its portfolio – including some key lines marking some major anniversaries.

The licensee’s portfolio includes popular and classic characters such as Paddington, Peter Rabbit and Disney’s Winnie the Pooh. On top of this, Rainbow Designs has also recently welcomed Disney’s The Lion King and the Wizarding World licensed collections which will be among those on display at this week’s Toy Fair (23-25 January).

“We are very excited to be bringing characters such as Harry Potter, Hedwig and Dobby to the baby and nursery market,” commented Zara Grindrod, sales and marketing director at Rainbow Designs. “Many of our young parents and grandparents have grown up with these iconic characters and stories, and will be excited to share them with their new arrivals. These new brand additions provide our retailers even further opportunities to offer our strong heritage brands, alongside on trend, modern day classics for the youngest demographic.”

In February, the company will celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Lion King with a range including the My First Simba Soft Toy, Comforter and Ring Rattle, as well as the Simba Sensory Play Mat.

It will also be marking the 35th anniversary of Elmer at Toy Fair. The colourful patchwork elephant, a key sponsor of the event, will make an appearance alongside the award-winning storyteller Mama G, at 4pm today (Tuesday 23 January) on the Rainbow Designs stand (B21-B25).

In addition, celebrations, new product launches and marketing activities will continue throughout the year to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Donald Duck, the 55th birthday of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the 30th anniversary of Guess How Much I Love You.
