Rainbow adds Nickelodeon for 44 Cats

Company’s new property enjoying fast growth in both broadcasting and licensing.

Rainbow has secured a major broadcast agreement for its new preschool property 44 Cats with Nickelodeon International.

Nickelodeon – already a long-term Rainbow partner – will broadcast the 52 13-minute animated comedy for kids internationally around the world from 2019.

44 Cats – which is a Rainbow production in collaboration with AntonianoBologna – follows the adventures of Lampo, Milady, Pilou and Polpetta and their band The Buffycats as the four homeless kittens shelter in a garage, which they transform into a clubhouse.

The series aims to promote upbeat, can-do attitudes, while conveying a positive message to its target audience of three to six year olds.
