Pyramid ready to react to Star Wars momentum

Licensee launching The Rise of Skywalker line as well as products for The Mandalorian.

With 2019 drawing to a close, Pyramid International is turning its attention to events taking place in ‘a galaxy far, far away’.

With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker now in cinemas, Pyramid is ready to react to the momentum for the franchise. Its new range consists of the licensee’s core products of posters, wall art, UK produced drinkware, badges, keychains and stationery – including the on-trend sequin flip notebook.

Meanwhile, development for The Mandalorian started earlier this year, with products beginning to launch. These include a collection of POD everyday mugs, canvases and posters focusing on the titular bounty hunter himself.

A collection focusing on The Child is also in development, with posters, wall art and drinkware due to launch in early 2020. These will be followed by badges, stickers, keychains, stationery and further drinkware throughout the year.

“We have worked alongside Disney and Lucasfilm to produce Star Wars products since 2014 and it remains one of our premier licences,” said Robert Ling, marketing manager at Pyramid International. “We have enjoyed successes across the classic portfolio, modern trilogies and video games, so it’s fantastic to be adding The Mandalorian to our collection – especially the phenomenon that is The Child.

“Our designers are big Star Wars fans so were very excited by the opportunity presented by the new guides – the force is definitely strong with this one.”
