Proper Snacks teams with KFC for its take on the finger-lickin’ classic

Proper Snacks – the brand behind Propercorn and Properchips – has collaborated with KFC to launch Proper Popcorn Chicken Popcorn.

The buttery popcorn is coated in KFC’s famous blend of herbs and spices and launches in Co-op stores from 23 August, followed by Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda in the coming weeks.

“This is a huge moment for Proper Snacks,” commented Cassandra Stavrou, founder of Proper Snacks. “Our take on the finger-lickin’ classic brings a little extra seasoning to your go-to snack. Two culturally relevant brands have collided to bring the world’s favourite popcorn chicken to consumers in a fun, creative way.

“And in partnering with a global leader with KFC, it means even more people will try and enjoy our banging new flavour.”

Kate Wall, KFC’s innovation director, continued: “We pride ourselves on doing the unexpected, which is why we’re so excited to be partnering with Proper Snacks. This partnership is about combining two iconic products to bring the world Popcorn Chicken… Popcorn, so that people can enjoy our distinctive taste in new ways. This collaboration pushes the boundaries of taste and texture in a fun and exciting way and we can’t wait for our fans to try it.”

To mark the launch of the new flavour, Proper Snacks is relaunching its arcade game near London’s Brick Lane – The Proper Dropper. From 1-3 September, players can be strapped in and dunked into a giant pit where thousands of free Proper snacks, plus KFC and Proper vouchers can be won.
