Progressive Preschool Awards finalists revealed

Host of licensed names in the running for accolades on Thursday November 8.

A plethora of familiar licensing names are in the running for accolades at this year’s Progressive Preschool Awards.

Taking place on Thursday, November 8 at The Dorchester, London, the popular event honours the best of the last 12 months in all categories of the preschool industry.

A host of licensed brands and products have been named in the hotly contest Product categories.

These include Ravensburger for its Peppa Pig puzzles and games; Gruffalo nightwear for Debenhams from Aykroyd & Sons; PJ Masks nightwear range from TDP Textiles; That’s Not My… range for Mothercare from Paul Dennicci; Winnie the Pooh babywear for Nutmeg from Blues Clothing; Roald Dahl’s 123 and Roald Dahl’s Opposites from Penguin Random House Children’s; and Sophie la girafe sophisticated collection from 1 Two Kids.

“It’s been fantastic to once again see the newest and most innovative products first-hand,” said publishing director Rob Willis. “Although there is caution in the air this year, it’s great to see that suppliers are not holding back and are continuing to provide retailers with excellent new ranges.

“The judging day was once again hugely beneficial for all buyers, who applauded the opportunity to touch and feel product first hand while giving us their exert opinion.”

Meanwhile, within the Marketing category, Barnardo’s Big Toddle with Teletubbies, Peppa Pig Muddy Puddles with eOne and Twirlywoos and The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) collaboration for Big Schools’ Birdwatch have all been nominated. Click here to see the full list of nominees.
