Products of Change strengthens team with two key appointments

Products of Change – the platform dedicated to promoting sustainability across the consumer products industry – has made two strategic new hires as part of its ongoing growth and evolution.

Kathryn Brand (pictured left) has been appointed as editor and content manager, while Nicola Webster (pictured right) takes on the newly created role of social media and community manager.

Kathryn succeeds Rob Hutchins who, after three impactful years at POC, is moving on to become online editor at Oceanographic magazine, where he will continue his environmental storytelling.

Kathryn joins POC from Bell Publishing where she held the role of associate editor. The publisher specialises in trade journals and websites and is know for its work across the food and packaging industries, including its flagship Tea & Coffee Trade Journal.

Meanwhile, Nicola brings some 18 years of experience in the brand and licensing industry to her new role, plus a proven track record in managing social media strategies.

Both Kathryn and Nicola will work closely with POC’s founder and ceo, Helena Mansell-Stopher to further the organisation’s mission of advancing sustainability in the consumer products industry.

The appointments mark a major milestone as POC celebrates its fifth anniversary, along with a 70% increase in membership since 2022.

“As Products of Change celebrates its fifth anniversary, I’m thrilled to expand our team to meet the evolving needs of our members and the community we’ve built,” commented Helena. “This growth will empower us to continue thriving over the next five years, ensuring we provide the tools, resources and content necessary for the industry to reduce its environmental impact and achieve the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”

Products of Change will be at Brand Licensing Europe this week (24-26 September) on stand A265.

Helena will be moderating a session on Wednesday (25 September) at 4pm entitled Mapping a Sustainable Pathway: How the Industry is Adapting to New Demand, with speakers including David Boyne (Bravado), Jeremy Orriss (Difuzed), Michelle Papayannakos (Paramount), Jakob Max Hamann (LEGO) and Anna Halford (The Walt Disney Company).

POC will also be hosting member drinks on its stand on Wednesday from 5pm.
