Primark reveals its biggest ever range in collaboration with Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch

Primark has once again teamed up with Dr. Seuss on a Grinch-tastic collaboration this festive season – marking the fifth year of the partnership.

The extensive range of over 100 items has everything from ‘fam jams’ and cosy jumpers to accessories and gifts, perfect for getting into the ‘anti-Christmas’ spirit. It is the retailer’s largest collection featuring the character to date.

The cross-category range of products reflects a slate of best-in-class licensing partners for The Grinch, in deals brokered by WildBrain CPLG.

The Grinch collection features pieces ranging from womenswear, menswear and accessories to home and gifting.

Items include matching Grinch pyjamas, socks and slippers for adults and kids, as well as a baby sleep suit; the Grinch Snuddie is back by popular demand; plus there is also a selection of loungewear and Christmas jumpers.

Homeware options include cushions, throws and festive decorations, while there are also outfits, bandana sets and toys for four legged friends, inspired by the Grinch’s loyal companion, Max.

The range was designed and delivered by licensees including Brand Alliance, Fashion UK, Brand International, Roy Lowe, Character World Brands, Fizz Creations, Modern Gourmet Foods and H&A.

“We are delighted to collaborate once again with Dr. Seuss this year on the hugely popular Grinch range, which is sure to put a smile on our customers faces,” commented Sarah Jackson, director of licensing at Primark. “Our partnership has grown year-on-year, and we’re excited to offer our biggest ever collection across all departments in-store. At Primark, we pride ourselves on our extensive licence offering and we’re thrilled to not only bring fantastic products to our customers, but also themed cafés in our Birmingham and Edinburgh locations this year so visitors can kick back, relax and enjoy some Grinch-tastic goodies. As part of our mission to surprise and delight our customers, there’s more exciting things to come… which will be revealed soon.”

Susan Brandt, president and ceo at Dr. Seuss Enterprises, continued: “It’s been a thrill to watch The Grinch’s popularity rise around the world the last few decades. For several years, the Primark team has been a great collaborative partner in the UK. It’s exciting to see their Grinch collection continue to expand and reach more people through diverse categories. The debut of their Grinch-themed cafés this year is a delightful addition. I can’t wait for our fans to experience all the fun, Grinchy elements we have in-store and online throughout the holiday season.”

Stacy Scimia, commercial director at WildBrain CPLG UK, added: “We love seeing the brilliant reaction fans have to Primark’s Grinch range every year, and we can’t wait to see how much the fans will love this year’s collection. With more ways than ever to bring The Grinch into family Christmas traditions, everyone from grandparents to pets can get involved in The Grinch holiday fun.”

Primark will offer customers in Birmingham and Edinburgh an immersive Grinch experience in store as the brand’s Primarket cafés transform for the Christmas season. From 23 October to 29 December, customers can relax in the green surroundings and enjoy a host of limited edition menu items including a Grinchmas Shake made with mint ice cream and decorated in red sugar sprinkles; Cindy Lou Who Waffles topped with vanilla ice cream, meringue and red velvet cake pieces; and warming hot drinks including Orange and Salted Caramel Hot Chocolates.
