Powerpuff Girls pop-up to open in New York

Store is part of second wave of activity around the ‘Powerpuff Yourself’ avatar campaign.

Cartoon Network is taking its Powerpuff Girls brand to the streets of New York this weekend, with a special pop-up shop opening its doors as part of a second wave of Powerpuff Yourself avatar activity.

The avatar maker was a huge hit when it was introduced in April alongside the new look show.

Now, enhanced ‘Powfactor’ themes have been added, with the aim of creating a blend of empowerment and creativity, according to Cartoon Network.

Launching globally today in the US, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia Pacific, the new Powerpuff Yourself allows fans to create their own Powerpuff avatar – this is then followed up with a series of questions to reveal their uniquely named Powfactor special ingredient.

The update of the avatar-maker includes refreshed categories, over 100 new personalisations and is translated into 26 languages.

Visitors to the Powfactor Shop in New York – which is open from Friday November 18 to Sunday November 20 – will be able to print their personally created avatar on merchandise including t-shirts, coffee mugs and bags, as well as buying badges which symbolise their special ingredient.

In addition, exclusive Powerpuff Girls product and limited edition designs inspired by the upcoming Cartoon Network and Print All Over Me collaboration will be available at the pop-up.
