Poundland unveils latest celebrity collaboration

Retailer teams with former TOWIE stars Ferne McCann and Mario Falcone for exclusive new ranges.

Poundland has further expanded its licensing credentials, unveiling its latest celebrity collaboration.

The retailer has teamed with former TOWIE stars Ferne McCann and Mario Falcone to launch two exclusive health and beauty ranges across all of its 900 stores.

The deal – which was brokered by Saphia Maxamed at London Entertainment, with Anthony Balkin as the licensee – sees a collection of items including body wash, lotions and body sprays, personally designed by Ferne and Mario, launch for men and women, priced at £1.

Predicted to quickly sell-out, the collection follows on from the discount retailer’s curated Ferne McCann MakeUp Gallery range, offering women the opportunity to get as glam as their favourite Essex lass.

Meanwhile, Mario’s mix of scents and hair products have been inspired by the star’s love of fitness and sharp dressing.

Commenting on the bespoke line, Ferne said: “My dream was to design a luxurious product range for everyone, that shows off the scents I love in beautiful packaging – and I’m thrilled to say that this vision has come to life.”

Mario continued: “People want to not only look good, but feel and smell good too and I wanted to create a product range that offers premium quality at an accessible price. So I have created this bespoke collection with Poundland to help men across the country have just that.”

The Ferne collection at Poundland also features false eye lashes and nails in a wide selection of colours including nude and metal rose – all still just £1.

Both Ferne and Mario have been promoting the launch of the ranges on their Instagram pages, and major national press coverage has already started to appear. In-store appearances by the duo, as well as further promotions are also planned going forward, Saphia told The Source.

Licensee Anthony Balkin also added: “We have focused on products and the price points to make sure our offering is incredibly strong commercially, but also a game changer in the health and beauty category.”

A video has also been created of Ferne and Mario, talking about what they love – and what they don’t – while introducing their personal collections. You can check it out below.
