British licensing art collaboration form part of major retailer’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
The successful licensing collaboration between homewares company Portmeirion and Wrendale Designs is cracking new territories.
Hannah Dale, founder and artist behind Wrendale Designs, was a big hit with Russian consumers when she formed part of Portmeirion’s launch activities in Moscow’s flagship Dom Farfora store.
Hannah was attending a special family day to mark the 50th anniversary of the company.
Hannah, whose captivating illustrations feature on Royal Worcester’s best-selling Wrendale Designs giftware collection, was at the store to host painting masterclasses to specially invited guests at the store on Leninski Prospect in Moscow.
Portmeirion Group’s head of export, Carol Clyde, said of the event: “Hannah is a very talented artist and her visit to Russia really helped our distributor, Dom Farfora, engage with their customers.
“This event is just one of the initiatives we are undertaking as part of our ongoing global strategy to work very closely with our customers to support their sales efforts and promote our iconic British brands.”
Hannah added: “It was a fascinating trip and I really enjoyed meeting the families in Russia and showing them some of the techniques behind the paintings. It is great to get close to the people who are buying and appreciating my designs and I took a great deal of inspiration from the event.”
