Colour in Candy pop-up in Old Street station marks the launch of new adult colouring book for brand.
King’s Candy Crush brand enjoyed success last week with a special pop-up outlet to mark the launch of its latest licensed product.
The ‘Colour in Candy’ pop-up took up residence in London’s Old Street station from October 25-28, turning an area into a large colouring-in ‘book’ with help from Paper Mate.
The initiative was to help mark the launch of the Candy Crush Soda Colouring Book for adults, which is available from Asda and Amazon.
King said it had 1,820 people walk through the door during the four days of the event (based on an hourly average). At busy periods this peaked at 75 visitors in 45 minutes.
Claes Kalborg, director of licensing at King, said: “We were very excited to be bringing a splash of colour to Old Street Station in London to celebrate the launch of our new Candy Crush Soda adult colouring book.
“The ‘Colour in Candy Pop-Up’ was created so fans of the game and passers-by could take a few moments out of their day and enjoy drawing and colouring in the walls of East London’s largest colouring-in book.
“We’re always looking for ways to bring the fun and colourful world of Candy Crush to life and we hope people will enjoy the book’s intricate landscapes and beautiful patterns.”
