Pokémon brand readies for BAFTA Games Awards

Pokémon Go named in three categories, while Sun and Moon games also get nod.

The shortlist for this year’s BAFTA Games Awards has been revealed, with Pokémon Go grabbing a trio of nominations.

The hit game has been named in the Family, Game Innovation and Mobile categories at the awards, which are due to take place on Thursday April 6 at Tobacco Dock, London.

In addition, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon is also in contention for the Mobile category.

Also shortlisted is LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens (in the Family category), while the Batman brand will be represented by Rocksteady Studios and WB Games’ Batman: Arkham VR (British Game and Game Innovation).
