Europe’s first Pokémon stop-motion animation studio now open at KidZania London.
Budding young directors and producers can now head to KidZania London to hone their skills at Europe’s first Pokémon stop-motion animation studio.
The first of its kind in Europe, the studio has been designed especially for children, with them being asked to complete a short film using stop-motion animation techniques.
Young animators will be split into pairs – one director and one producer – and assigned to their own studio booth.
Each booth is equipped with the latest stop-motion software, and children will be tasked with creating the ending of a short film using the Tomy Pokémon figures and props provided.
At the end of the session, these will be displayed on a screen outside KidZania for parents to see their work.
Speaking to The Licensing Source Book Europe before the opening earlier in the year, Anthony Cornish, marketing director at TPCI, said: “The ultimate aim of the studio is enabling children to have fun with Pokémon; fun is and always has been at the very heart of our brand and core values.
“Having a permanent Pokémon-focused experience within London is an exciting boost for the brand.”
