PG Live 2020 will not go ahead as planned in September

Progressive Greetings Live, the dedicated greeting card trade show, will not be going ahead as planned in September (2-3), due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the coronavirus.

The show was moved by organisers, Max Exhibitions from its original June date (it was scheduled to open yesterday, June 2) to September in the hope that the effects of the pandemic would have eased sufficiently to give exhibitors and visitors alike the confidence to embrace the show without concern.

“It is with a heavy heart that we have taken the decision to cancel PG Live this year, but we know that it is the right thing to do,” commented Warren Lomax, co-owner of Max Exhibitions. “A huge thank you to all of our wonderful exhibitors for their ongoing support, loyalty and patience; it means a great deal. We have held off making this decision in the hope that the situation would change massively, but it was not to be.”

PG Live is renowned as a very special show, known for its sociable, friendly cosmopolitan vibe and lots of ‘extras’, such as the convivial communal lunches and the lively opening night party.

“With the current social distancing guidelines, the travel restrictions curbing international visitors and a general unease about domestic travel, we also had real concerns that PG Live would not have the lustre that everyone has come to love,” added Warren.

The next PG Live will take place Tuesday June 8 and Wednesday June 9, 2021 at London’s Business Design Centre.
