Easter festival will include activity workshops, games and crafts, plus an interactive trail.
The first Peter Rabbit themed Easter festival is to take place at Kew Gardens.
The deal – which was brokered by Silvergate Media, the global licensing agent for Peter Rabbit on behalf of Penguin Ventures – will see the festival run from Friday March 30 to Sunday April 15.
It will feature activity workshops, games and crafts, in addition to an interactive trail inspiring children to connect with nature.
A series of Peter Rabbit-inspired giant games and activities will be on offer for children and adults around the festival hub and there will be the chance to take fun souvenir snaps at special Peter Rabbit selfie boards. Peter Rabbit licensed merchandise will also available in the Kew shop.
Thomas Merrington, creative director at Penguin Ventures, said: “Peter Rabbit is synonymous with mischief and garden adventures and will be perfectly at home in the beautiful setting of Kew Gardens.
“We can’t wait to see young fans and their families enjoy the fantastic activities that Kew has planned with Peter this Easter.”
Gina Koutsika, head of visitor programmes, events and exhibitions, added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Penguin Ventures to produce a brand new and truly magical Peter Rabbit themed festival at Kew Gardens.
“I am sure our interactive trail and activities will delight visitors of all ages and will encourage families to learn more about the science behind the fruit and veg that Peter Rabbit so loves to eat.”
