Peter Rabbit hops into CBeebies Land

New ‘Hippity Hop’ ride opens at Alton Towers Resort on March 23.

Peter Rabbit is to join the CBeebies Land line-up at Alton Towers Resort later this month.

Opening on March 23, the new Peter Rabbit: Hippity Hop ride features the famous character and his friends, Benjamin and Lily.

The launch of Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop at Alton Towers marks the third UK attraction opening for the Emmy-award winning preschool Peter Rabbit TV series – a co-production between Silvergate Media, Nickelodeon and Frederick Warne & Co (part of Penguin Random House) – and a further expansion of the live events category for the brand in the UK.

“Our partnership with Alton Towers and BBC Studios underlines the enduring appeal that Peter Rabbit and his adventures have for families,” said Lisa Macdonald, svp consumer products and TV sales EMEA at Silvergate Media. “The Hippity Hop ride is an exciting and fun-packed way for young fans to engage with this beloved character.”

Thomas Merrington, creative director at Penguin Ventures, added: “It’s been a real delight to develop the the Hippity Hop ride with the team at Merlin Entertainments and BBC Studios.

“It really captures the adventurous spirit of the TV show brilliantly and we are sure that young fans will be thrilled to experience Peter’s world in this brand new way.”
