With just days remaining until the window opens for the English Channel Relay Swim in aid of The Light Fund, Peppa Pig lent her support during a training session on Friday 17 June.
Peppa paid a visit to the set of The Light Fund Channel Relay, a short film which has been sponsored by Hasbro and highlights the arduous training process and gruelling swim itself.
“We are proud to work with The Light Fund to support such an inspirational and brave fundraising effort for kids and families,” commented Sally Carnota, senior director, EMEA & Asia Licensed Consumer Products at Hasbro. “It was great having Peppa Pig on set to witness the behind the scenes of the film and the hard work these swimmers have put into supporting a great cause.”
Hasbro funded the entire production process, from staffing to filming and editing, and contributed a generous donation to the Channel Relay effort, which has a target of £250,000 for The Light Fund.

The swim is scheduled to start between 30 June and 3 July around 2am on a day when conditions are optimal.
The short film – which is made by Albus Studios – will be unveiled during The Licensing Awards on Tuesday 13 September.
Donations are still being accepted to ensure that the £250,000 target is met. Individuals can head to the dedicated JustGiving page – www.justgiving.com/fundraising/thelightfundenglishchannelrelayswim2022.
