Penguin Ventures teams with Vue for The Snowman

Special screenings to take place at 87 venues as part of 40th celebrations.

The 40th celebrations for The Snowman are continuing, with Penguin Ventures revealing a new partnership with Vue.

In celebration of the milestone anniversary of Raymond Briggs’ classic picture book, 87 Vue venues across the UK and Ireland will be screening The Snowman followed by The Snowman and The Snowdog on Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9 at 11am.

“A key ambition for us during the anniversary year was to partner with a cinema chain to create an event offering for families this Christmas,” said Izzy Richardson, head of brand management at Penguin Ventures. “Vue are the perfect partner and have been able to roll out a nationwide double bill of both animations during the key festive period, allowing families to come together and experience the magic of these two brilliant films on the big screen.”

Johnny Carr, alternative content manager at Vue, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Penguin Ventures to bring The Snowman and The Snowman and The Snow Dog to the big screen this Christmas.

“These two classic animations are fabulous entertainment for young and old and we’re thrilled to be able to bring this double bill to our customers nationwide in December.”
