Paramount unleashes Mutant Mayhem with new Spurs collaboration

Paramount Global has confirmed that its UK consumer products and theatrical divisions are collaborating with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, launching a new product range and integrated marketing activity to support the arrival of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.

The collaboration will see a range of apparel launched in Tottenham Hotspur Football Club retail stores, as well as online globally. The range will see the Turtles dressed in a THFC-inspired kit, playing football.

Alongside this, Paramount will be running a host of marketing activities including a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem-inspired stadium tour where families will search for the Turtles in their sewer lairs as well as eat the Turtles’ favourite meal – pizza.

The Turtles will also be present at THFC’s home pre-season match against Shakhtar Donetsk on 6 August. The new walk-around characters will be there to meet and engage with fans, as well as taking in the London skyline on the Dare SkyWalk. There will also be activities and giveaways with the club’s Junior Membership programme, among radio and exhibitor competitions.

“It is thrilling to launch this football collaboration for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, especially as it resonates so brilliantly with the core demographic for the new film,” commented Venetia Davie, vp of consumer products and experiences at Paramount. “We couldn’t be more excited to see all this activity come to life.”

Duncan Pass, merchandise and licensing director at Tottenham Hotspur, continued: “We’re always looking for new and creative ways to engage our younger fans, so we’re excited to be releasing bespoke merchandise and delivering a range of activities during the school summer holidays to celebrate the release of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem launched in UK cinemas on 31 July.
