Papier and Paperchase reveal new licensed collaborations

Papier and Paperchase have each launched new licensed collaborations with notable names.

Stationery and card brand Papier’s limited edition Mother’s Day tie up with TV presenter and journalist Stacey Dooley is a stationery collection aiming at helping letter writing make a comeback.

Only available for six weeks, the notecards, notebook, writing paper set and journal collection is linked to Stacey’s upcoming book Dear Minnie, named after her daughter and available from 13 March through Penguin Books, which is a compilation of letters from mothers to their children.

“It’s a deeply personal exploration of motherhood through letters,” a Papier spokesman said, “she’s shining a spotlight on one of life’s most intimate and powerful forms of communication so, to mark the book launch, Stacey’s teamed up with Papier to create a six-week-only stationery collection, inspiring us all to rediscover the beauty of letter writing.”

Stacey added: “I loved the idea of the old school romance of writing a letter that’s kept for decades, and I think that’s why I was so keen to write this book. I wanted to document mine and Minne’s journey and how I found motherhood.

“I really was so delighted that other mothers agreed to contribute letters to the book because it means that all of their kids can read what their mothers were going through also. It feels really special.”

PaperchaseMelanie500x500Meanwhile, at Tesco-owned brand Paperchase, design manager Cat Wattrus and the team have put together a collection with freelance illustrator and designer Melanie Johnson, the first of its kind for the business since it was relaunched by the grocery giant in 2023.

Cat said: “From the moment we saw Melanie’s bold, playful bursts of colour, we knew it was a match made in heaven! Her joyful aesthetic fit perfectly with our mission – to spread a little joy every day. So, we set out to create a collection that celebrates all kinds of love, self-love, romance, friendship and, of course, a little love for good food.

With the first products launched for Valentine’s Day, the collection covers greeting cards, stationery, small gifts and totes, and Melanie added: “We came up with a whole range of colourful goodies to reflect all types of love.

“I designed bold illustrations and patterns for this and they were translated into a wonderful array of objects, from stationery staples to drinkware and even a neon light! This project was a dream come true.”
