Copyrights Group and Rockefeller Productions team for new preschool show.
Copyrights Group is teaming with Rockefeller Productions to bring Paddington to the stage in a show for 2020.
Targeted at a preschool audience, the show will feature Paddington stage for the first time in puppet form.
It will launch first in the US and Canada from 2020, created by Jonathan Rockefeller from Rockefeller Productions.
“The Paddington books were a staple of my childhood,” commented Jonathan. “The antics of the kind-hearted and accident- prone bear have always made me and so many others, smile.
“I am thrilled to bring this celebrated bear to the stage in a way that audiences have never experienced him before.”
Polly Emery, svp brand and international licensing at Copyrights Group, added: “Paddington has been entertaining audiences for over 60 years through the pages of books, to movies and he will be appearing soon in a new animated TV series.
“We are excited to be working with Rockefeller Productions to bring Paddington to the stage and to enable young kids and their families to enter into Paddington’s world and engage with him.”
