Paddington early learning toys on way from Trends UK

New deal secured with The Copyrights Group with products due to begin launching late 2020.

Trends UK has joined the licensing programme for Paddington – securing a deal with The Copyrights Group to create a range of electronic learning toys based on upcoming preschool series, The Adventures of Paddington.

The toys will aim to introduce young fans to early learning skills such as recognising colours, numbers, letters and early spelling.

Items will begin to appear in late 2020, with further products due to follow into 2021.

“We are delighted to be developing learning items based on this lovable bear and his world,” commented Lindsay Hardy, marketing director at Trends UK. “The narrative of Paddington’s experiences with his family, friends and home will definitely appeal to preschoolers and parents; the TV series looks fantastic.”

Rachel Clarke, svp licensing and retail UK at The Copyrights Group, added: “I am delighted that Trends are joining the Paddington licensing programme with their range of electronic learning toys.

“We believe Paddington TV is a great new adventure for the brand and are pleased to be working with Trends to bring their fabulous Paddington TV lines to the UK market.”
