Copyrights Group and StudioCanal thrilled with nomination hat trick.
The teams at The Copyrights Group and StudioCanal are celebrating after Paddington 2 received nominations in three categories at this year’s EE British Academy Film Awards.
The movie – which has enjoyed considerable success at the box office following its release in November – has been shortlisted for Outstanding British Film, running against Lady Macbeth, God’s Own Country, The Death of Stalin, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and Darkest Hour.
It has also been given the nod for Adapted Screenplay – alongside Call Me By Your Name, The Death of Stalin, Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool and Molly’s Game.
In addition, Hugh Grant has been nominated for Supporting Actor for his role as Phoenix Buchanan.
The EE British Academy Film Awards take place on Sunday, February 18 at the Royal Albert Hall, London. The ceremony will be hosted by Joanna Lumley and will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One.
